Katherine Heigl has revealed her childhood in a bubble of white and how that influenced how she raised adopted multiracial children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said in the past that when it comes to skin color, it doesn't really matter. But after speaking to her sister who is adopted from South Korea she realized just the way society views them. "I inquired of my sister, Meg whether she'd been treated in one manner while out in public with our parents and in a different manner when she was out by herself without them. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl talked to parents about how she realized her ignorance. She admitted that she was mad, but she felt that she had to channel this anger to support her daughters. Heigl shares a son of four year with Josh Kelley, her husband for the past 13 years. They took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion, in 2009.
