Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My baby crawled around in a playpen while I worked 12-hour days cleaning the floors, as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! It was all starting to come together but we weren't anywhere near finished. It was going to take lots of time and money as well as my favourite brands of furniture to furnish this home. In order to stay within my budget, I began attending estate sales with my three brothers to search for diamonds in the rough. Every week, we spent Thursday to Saturday at estate sales and garage sales, buying old and new furniture. After that, I stenciled and polished the driveway throughout the week. My passion for restoration of furniture started with an appearance that was similar to this. I continued to restore furniture even after we had furnished our house. I rented a booth at the local market and even sold some items there. In the end, I was stuffed with too numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the room available. Open houses were held at my house where 1 000 visitors would pass through during a weekend. they could purchase anything on the ground level. Growing Days is the result of all this. Apart from my successful business, I also grew our family. Finding the balance was important to me. I wanted to be a mom as well as a business owner who was successful. Growing Days seemed like the ideal combination. My daughter Nora was our fourth baby. Although I was happy about the direction my company was taking, I realized that I had to take a little break. I opted to take a little time off from my vintage furniture and remain at home with the children. It was just what I required. It wasn't until a couple of months that my phone began to ring. They asked for my assistance in decorating and renovations. A majority of these were people who had been through my property during open houses for furniture! After a while I started taking on clients in my own way. In no time, I was managing numerous accounts as well as a home renovations company. It is likely that I would have been laughing if somebody had informed me that my business was going to be the premise of an upcoming tv program on DIY Network. It's hilarious to look back on the idea.
