Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was first person to reach a flawless 10 on an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi stumbled upon Comaneci at the age of six. Comaneci would go on to become Romania's gymnastics coach. Comaneci competed for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships and finished 13th. After that she was crowned champion. In 1972, as part of the communist nations' meet for juniors prior to the Olympic Games, she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she was named the junior champion in all aspects. She topped Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva, the five-time European Champion, in her debut international senior championship in 1975. In this event she was awarded four golds and one silver. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female in the history of sport to take off the parallel bars and to use double backwards salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business started in her teens, when she began dancing as a figure skater along with her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a professional as an entertainer in her teens. In her early years she was a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured skating on ice and featured theatrical shows.
